It is fascinating to see our youth understand the power of solar and all the possibilities that derive from it. 9-year-old, Hailey Fort built a small house for Edward, a local homeless in her neighborhood that included windows, insulation, and solar panels for electricity. This small shelter took her several months to complete, but now Edward will have a place he can count on.
Hailey is now custom-building tiny houses for more local homeless individuals and has raised funds to do so through her GoFundMe campaign. Hailey received donated materials that include flooring and shingles to help construct her project. She plans to build at least 10 shelters in the next couple years and is coordinating with local churches to find a place to park the shelters.
