The Solar Foundation, an independent nonprofit solar research and education organization, has released its latest National Solar Jobs Census for 2015. Research found the U.S. solar industry employed 208,859 Americans in the past year. There were 35,052 jobs created in the previous year representing a 20.2 percent growth. This was a bigger growth than the employment growth rate which stood at 1.7 percent during the same period. Employers in the solar industry who were surveyed expect to add more than 30,000 jobs for the year of 2016. The projected increase of 14.7 percent would bring the count of solar workers in the U.S. to 239,625 by the end of this year. Solar power is more than we believe it to be. It is a great source that is helping you save, promotes economic growth and fights climate change all at once.
